Meet Your Photographer
Hi There!
I’m Karri, your Friendly Neighborhood Boudoir Photographer.
I have been photographing women of all shapes and sizes for over a decade, and my greatest joy comes from helping to bring out that inner fire in every person who walks into my studio for their boudoir photo shoot.
We are programmed to believe that we are not good enough to be photographed—not photogenic enough, not thin enough, not tall enough, not enough curves—and that is exactly the reason why you need to be photographed by me right now! You’re not un-photogenic, you’ve just never had someone take the time to coach you correctly—from your pose right down to your expression.
None of the women you see in my photographs are professional models. Every single one of them are normal, everyday, human women, who show up to my studio FULL of nerves and likely feel exactly the way you and I do in front of a camera—terrified! But through precise posing and careful direction, I promise I can bring out the You you’ve never seen in a photograph—the You that deserves to be seen.
You’re beautiful now. You’re good enough now. So why have you waited so long?
XOXO, Karri
“I can’t speak highly enough about Karri and my experience with her.
Kind, enthusiastic, professional, motivating, respectful and at the somehow also feels like a friend you’ve known forever.”

I love being a Portland Boudoir Photographer because…
Folks here are built different. To put it bluntly, y’all are weird as hell. And I wouldn’t have it any other way. 😜
My clients are some of my favorite people in the world, and I feel SO grateful to be able to say that with my whole chest.
This job has given me the opportunity to serve some of the kindest, most inspiring, creative, quirky, and interesting people I’ve ever met, and the fact that I am able to grow this community and create meaningful relationships with my clients is truly a blessing that I do not take for granted.
I cannot wait to meet you, learn about your story and what brought you to this lively and artsy place. ✨
“I was so insanely comfortable during the entire shoot.
Karri was encouraging and demonstrated every single pose to show me—while acknowledging how awkward it felt to do, which I really appreciated!”

A Few of My Favorite Things…
Why “Foxfire?”
Foxfire, also called fairy fire, is the bioluminescence created by some species of fungi present in decaying wood.
When I first heard Agent Mulder mention the word in an episode of X-Files (yes, I’m that kind of nerd), I was intrigued. After a bit of research, I was fascinated.
I mean, come on. A mysterious glowing fungi described by Aristotle as a fire that was cold to the touch and bright enough to read by? That’s just too cool to pass up.
It was one of those things that just stuck with me in the back of mind, and after awhile I started to see a correlation between the substance itself and that inner fire I try to bring out in all of my clients. So I just couldn’t help myself but attach foxfire to my brand. And thus, Foxfire Boudoir was born.
