I don’t know about you, but I (along with the entirety of BookTok) have fallen head over heels for the spicy romance/fantasy (or romantasy, if you please) world of the ACOTAR series by Sarah J. Maas.

So, what is ACOTAR, you ask? It’s the acronym for A Court of Thorns and Roses, and it's not only the name of the series but also the first book, set in a fantasy world where (SUPER HOT) Fae high lords rule seven different courts in the magical land of Prythian.
Four of the courts are based on the seasons (Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter), while the remaining three—Dawn, Day, and Night Courts—are celestial, experiencing all four seasons in their own mysterious way.
In the first book, we’re introduced to the Spring Court alongside our human protagonist, Feyre. This court is ruled by a fae lord named Tamlin, whose days consist of looking hot, goofing off with his bro Lucien, and bantering his way through the intricacies of ruling a court.
The Spring Court itself is an enchanting, eternally blooming wonderland—think wildflowers, lush greenery, and an air of everlasting warmth and beauty. It feels like nothing bad could happen in such a dreamy place, right? (Cue ominous music…)
With all that in mind, I found myself completely captivated by the world-building and gorgeous imagery in the series.
