“Can You Make Me Look Skinny In My Boudoir Photos?”
As a Boudoir Photographer, I’m often asked, “Can you make me look skinnier in photos?” My answer is always the same and that answer is: Nope.
But here’s what I will do—I’ll make you look amazing, confident, and unapologetically HOT AS FUCK.
Boudoir is not about looking skinnier—it’s about celebrating your body for all it does for you, and allowing yourself to embrace how stunning you are right now in this moment.
So, while I won't focus on making you look thinner, I want you to give yourself the permission to trust me and let me show you why your beauty goes far beyond the number on your jeans.
The Power of Posing for Confidence, Not for Slimming
Boudoir photography is about capturing the essence of YOU. Your confidence, your power, your beauty—none of which depend on how slim you look.
We focus on posing to bring out the best in you, emphasizing the features you love and helping you feel more comfortable in your own skin. Boudoir is for every body, every shape, and every size. I’ll guide you through each pose, showing you how to appreciate your curves, your edges, and everything in between.
Confidence Isn’t Size-Specific Because Beauty Isn’t Size-Specific
As women, we’ve been conditioned to believe that we will finally be confident when we hit [insert weightloss goal]. But that couldn’t be further from the truth. Some of my most confident clients who are the most secure in themselves are plus sized, and a lot of my most self-conscious clients were size 4 or smaller.
Confidence isn’t about your size—it doesn’t come from the number on the scale. It comes from within, and it takes conscious effort and work to achieve—mental and emotional work. It’s about how you feel about and exist in your body.
One of the most freeing parts of boudoir photography is learning to appreciate your body for what it does, not just what it looks like. Your body has been through so much—it’s carried you through life’s ups and downs. It deserves love and appreciation, just as it is.
At my studio, we don’t believe in the idea that you should try and lose weight before your boudoir session. You’re not booking a photoshoot for some hypothetical future version of yourself. You’re booking it for YOU, right now. You are fucking HOT in a size 2 or a size 22 and DO NOT FORGET THAT.
In fact, I tell all of my clients NOT to lose weight before their boudoir session, because there is literally no need! You are gorgeous now, and we as women especially need to stop putting off living our lives and allowing ourselves unforgettable experiences until we hit [insert weightloss goal].
DO IT FAT.
Do it fat or you’ll never do it. Live your life now and enjoy it!!
If you end up losing the weight later, great! Book another session! But don’t keep punishing yourself by withholding joy and experiences just because society tells you that you need to be [insert unattainable beauty standard here] before you’re worthy of love and adoration from yourself and others.
Lighting, Angles, and Outfit Choices to Highlight Your Favorite Features
At Foxfire Boudoir, my job is to create an environment where you feel supported and confident. Yes, I use lighting, angles, and outfit choices to showcase your favorite features—but it’s never about hiding or making you look smaller. It’s about highlighting the unique beauty that you bring to the session.
Every session is tailored to make you feel empowered. Whether you want to show off your curves, highlight your legs, or showcase your smile, we’ll work together to make sure your photos reflect your most confident self.
The goal is never to “fix” anything (and this includes how we edit and retouch your photos as well)—We are only here to embrace what you already love.
Love Your Body, Own Your Beauty, and Give Yourself Permission to Be Hot
At the end of the day, boudoir is about one thing: loving and honoring yourself. It’s about looking at the body you’re in and saying, “Damn, I’m fine!” And guess what? You don’t need to physically change anything to feel that way.
You deserve to feel sexy and confident in your own skin, no matter what size you are. If you’ve ever found yourself googling “how to look skinnier in photos,” I challenge you to shift your perspective. The real question is: How can I feel more confident and embrace who I am right now?
At the end of the day, it’s not about looking skinnier in your photos—it’s about feeling like the absolute queen you are. What you really want is to feel powerful, sexy, and confident—and I’m here to help you do just that.
Let’s chat, babe.
